BMKG Says No Rain on Malam Takbiran in Jakarta

For those of you who want to do the local tradition of malam takbiran (Idul Fitri's Eve celebrations), do no need to worry about weather matter. Because, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the weather for the week ahead and malam takbiran would be bright cloudy. 

Even though raining, it's just light raining and its location is uneven

According to Mulyono Prabowo, BMKG Head, the capital and its surrounding areas is still in dry season. That is why, rain is predicted to come in the upcoming November. 

"Even though raining, it's just light raining and its location is uneven," said Prabowo to beritajakarta.com Saturday (7/11). 

Jakarta on Standby to Face Rainy Season

The dry season has been ongoing since the end of June. In BMKG observations, at this time there is elnino symtomp, where rainfall that would be happening is still a little regarding it is still in dry season. 

It is predicted that heavy rain will began to come in the upcoming October 2015 until February 2016. Usually when the peak of rain happens, the capital would be flooded in January until February.

Yet, he appeals the homecomers to keep being careful for the hot weather. Besides taking a rest, they also have to drink a lot. 

"Because the weather is bright cloudy at noon, it's better to drink a lot at night. It prevents dehydration. Moreover fasting at noon, fluid that get into body should be more at night," he suggested.
